Community Health Worker Training Program

In partnership with NEPA Area Health Education Center and Penn State Health, St. Joseph's, this training will prepare participants to work in the health field or better equip professionals in their current roles to connect patients with needed resources in the community.

Participants have been hired in hospitals, clinics, and other community-based organizations.
Join the growing field of Community Health Workers (CHW) who work to improve the health of their community.

You will learn skills for employment
as a CHW such as:

Boundaries
Networking
Mandated Reporting
Health Literacy
Self Care and Stress
Safety

You will receive
special training in:

COMPASS
CPR/First Aid
Youth Mental Health First Aid
Motivational Interviewing
Tobacco Cessation
