Join us virtually October 9 – 11 for our second annual 1 Book, 1 Run and Scavenger Hunt! Due to COVID-19, we cannot hold this race on site, and have modified this 5K to a virtual event.

Participants have from 7AM Friday, October 9 until 7PM Sunday, October 11, 2020 to run or walk the 5K. You then email your time by Sunday, October 11 at 7PM to literacycouncilraces@gmail.com

This is based on an honor system. An easy way to measure a 5K (3.1 miles) is with a running app on your phone or on a treadmill.

All who register receive a nifty t-shirt and a coupon for a Carvel ice cream cone. Registrants can pick up their gifts at the Council at 35 South Dwight Street, West Lawn, PA after the race, from 9AM to 4PM.

First Place Overall 5K Male and 5K Female will each receive a $25 Gift Card to Firefly Bookstore.

1 BOOK 1 RUN SCAVENGER HUNT:

Participants will enjoy traveling throughout different sections of Berks County, looking for fun clues and snapping pics to document their SCAVENGER HUNT. Every participant who completes 10 stops receives a prize in addition to a nifty t-shirt and Carvel coupon. The 1st 3 participants who complete 20 stops receive a $25 gift card while the 1st to complete 30 stops will receive a $25 gift card and Touchstone necklace!
